On October 9–10, the revision workshop for GB 8408, “Safety Requirements for Large Amusement Rides,” was successfully held in Zhuji, Zhejiang. The meeting brought together representatives from market regulatory authorities, research institutes, inspection agencies, and amusement‑equipment manufacturers to conduct in-depth discussions on the draft revisions to the national standard, pooling industry expertise to further refine the safety‑regulation framework for amusement rides.

On the morning of October 9, 2026, the inaugural meeting of the Zhejiang Provincial Consortium for Large-Scale Amusement Ride Safety and Innovation was held at the Wyndham Hotel in Zhuji, Shaoxing. Hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Administration for Market Regulation, the event brought together leaders, experts, and representatives from more than forty organizations—including market regulation authorities at the national, provincial, and municipal levels, research institutes, testing agencies, universities, and the amusement‑ride industry—to jointly mark a landmark moment in the field of safety and innovation for large-scale amusement rides in Zhejiang Province.
